Overview

Brighton Fish & Chips, nestled in the heart of Innaloo at 22A Muriel Ave, is a standout destination for lovers of classic Australian seafood fare. This modest yet inviting spot caters primarily to takeaway customers, making it an ideal choice for those seeking quick, high-quality fish and chips without compromising on freshness or flavor.

The menu at Brighton Fish & Chips shines with its emphasis on fresh, well-prepared seafood. Signature offerings like the Seafood Combo deliver a generous variety, while the Crumbed Squid Rings and crispy Fish & Chips maintain a delicate balance of light batter and tender, succulent fish. Several diners have noted the batter’s exceptional crunchiness without excess oiliness, a testament to Brighton’s commitment to quality preparation. This characteristic sets it apart from many other fish and chip shops, securing loyal fans from across Perth and beyond.

What impresses most is the authenticity and freshness of the seafood. Whether it’s the lightly battered snapper, whiting, or the crumbed prawn cutlets, each bite reveals a freshness that makes you feel the fish were caught that very day. The chips are another highlight—thick-cut and perfectly crisp, they strike the right note between hearty and fresh, avoiding greasiness while offering satisfying crunch and flavor.

The small, unassuming shop may not boast extensive seating, as it functions mainly as a takeaway hub, but the lively atmosphere during peak hours showcases its strong local following. Families and busy professionals alike find it an excellent spot for fast, reliable, and delicious seafood. The staff, energetic and attentive, further elevate the customer experience, exemplifying the friendly neighborhood charm.

As a destination, Brighton Fish & Chips caters to straightforward appetites with an eye for quality. Its focus on fresh, well-executed seafood dishes appeals to those who value both tradition and taste, setting a high bar in Perth’s competitive fish and chips scene. Whether you are stopping by for a quick solo meal or grabbing dinner for the family, Brighton strikes a perfect balance between convenience and culinary satisfaction.

If you’re traveling through Innaloo or are in search of a genuine fish and chips experience that respects the craft and freshness of the sea, Brighton Fish & Chips is well worth the visit. Their consistent quality and passionate service make it a cherished hidden gem in Western Australia.

Always and always a great Fish & Chips. Crunchy batter. Not oily. I'd say best in Perth. And I am VERY fussy on how food is. It is WAY, WAY better than (spelling wrong of business names), Ciccerlos or Kailis in Fremantle. I drive all the way from Como just to buy Brighton fish & chips.

Went to this place on Sun to buy a takeaway dinner for the family. I got Battered Snapper which was 12 for a piece, Battered Whiting for 14.60, 6 Crumbed Prawn Cutlets for 12 dollars and a 4.50 serve of chips. Chips tasted good, the fish and prawns were fresh and the pieces big enough. A lot of takeaway business when I was there. The place does mainly takeaways and there were either no tables for dinner in or only a few

Honestly an absolute hidden gem. Some of the best chippy we’ve ever had. Portions fair. Batter isn’t greasy or thick, and you can taste the seafood in it. Squid rings, prawns, and scallops all 2 thumbs up too. The kids at front of house were hustling hard too!

Small unassuming shop. Went there for squid an chips as we were passing by. The batter they used for the squid was amazingly light and crispy. Chips were thick and crispy too! Not too greasy.

Have been getting fish and chips weekly and it never disappoints! Spot on 100% of the time. The only issue is the long wait time. If you ring up and they tell you a time add 15-30 minutes to that time. They tend to only cook when you arrive.

Got the seafood combo pack from here a couple of days ago and it was very tasty! Had the snapper, prawns, scallops and squid rings. Fish was well battered, the chips were just right and the squid rings were excellent. I normally will get the woodlands fish and chips, but I think I’ll be going with these guys from now on. I wouldn’t get the seafood pack again as it was a bit pricey at $25, however you are paying more for the snapper obviously. Will try the normal pack for 1 at $15 next time and see how it goes! Would recommend.
